Well, she's nearly 19 months now. Unbelievable. This last month has surely been the difference between "before" toddlerhood and "official" toddlerhood. I can't even walk into a different room to grab something without finding her on a table, drawing on something she shouldn't, dumping the dog water, etc etc etc. She is now officially a climber, a runner, and she enjoys mischief. Yes. She KNOWS what she is doing. But she is still not receptive to consequences. If I put her in a corner for 5 seconds after she does something wrong, she just goes and does it again and then walks herself back into the corner. Ay. I had no idea it just keeps getting more difficult.
Anyway - some fun notes:
She LOVES shoes - calls them ishis and tries on everyones!
She LOVES dancing - favorites are Pink, Fergie, Lady Gaga, and anything hip-hop. If she's not happy driving in the car, just pump up the dance music and she's good to go!
She LOVES broccoli - I'm sure this won't last but she eats a full adult size head and could go for more
She says Please and Thank you (Peesh and Dank You)
She says "heryago"
She says book and sock and "go go go" to the dog
She is OBSESSED with babies. She calls them Baybu's and whenever there is a small kid remotely in sight (or even a stroller) she YELLS BAYYYYBUUUU until she gets their attention. Her favorite is the actual small babies. At her daycare they say she always tries to steal the bottle so she can feed them. She has even started wrapping her dolls in blankets and rocking them in her arms.
She says I love you. One night at dinner she looked at me and said, "Mama.... ILOVEYOU" - it was heartbreaking!
Here she is enjoying her new free shoes (got them from a lady off of craigslist - I got like 8 pairs for $10)! And she loves running up and down the hallway so we spent some time staying out of trouble doing this one afternoon!
Goodbye! She says Dye dye...and she LOVES to close doors on you!
