She's BACK!

It's been a crazy couple weeks but Kaelyn has been having so much fun and seeing so many people and doing new things. Tracy sent this fabulous new hat today and we are looking forward to using it for some fun in the sun!

Oh...and the anser to the trivia on the right - the answer was TOFU. Yep - still to date, Tofu is the only food she has not liked! She's quite the eater...

Visitors and fun!

For Delilah's graduation we had a lot of family visitors out this way. Auntie Joyce had lots of fun with Miss Kaelyn.

She enjoyed feeding herself watermelon while we hung out in the backyard.

And Grandpa had lots of fun helping Miss Kaelyn crawl around.

Even though Kaelyn crawls forward now, she still ends up cornering herself in the funniest spaces. She seems to love to trap herself under the chairs!

Kaelyn and Kingston are now best buds. He is so easygoing with her. She crawls all over him and he just hangs out while she romps around on his back!

Crawling!

On Sunday, June 15th, while most of the family was up at Delilah's graduation from college, Kaelyn started crawling FORWARD! She hasn't stopped since and she particularly likes to go to Kingston's toys and Fremont's food. It's definitely a different house now - she keeps us on our toes!

Here she crawled halfway out the door! Here comes trouble!

A Date!

Kaelyn was finally reunited with Joey - born 2 days after her. It was great to catch up and see how similar they are.
First, they were so happy to see each other. It was really cute- Kaelyn just wanted to touch him!

Then she started grabbing him...she just couldn't get enough. Quite frankly, Joey seemed to think she was a little aggressive!

But in the end, they just settled for a drink! Too cute ;-)

7 months!

Well - Miss Kaelyn turned 7 months this week. Wow! Time definitely escapes us. Here she is showing her new wave. She has learned a lot of new tricks over the last 2 weeks. She waves alot - almost as if to say hello or goodbye. She also does "so big" all the time! Gets a real kick out of it! She has started to crawl - but can only go in reverse. She covers a lot of square footage now tho - so we have to start babyproofing. She gets real frustrated when she back herself into something and can't go any farther! She has also tried several new foods, including some meat and milk products. Check out the new voting poll on the right. We'll give the answer in next week's blog.

She has also graduated to the "big girl" tub. She's doing quite well although she's taken several nose dives and bonks to the forehead on the cast iron tub wall. But she's diggin' the extra space. And she can't get enough of rubber ducky's head. This last weekend Stacy was here visiting and got to experience Kaelyn's first floater. Well, it didn't actually float. But it was a really funny experience. I'm so glad I wasn't alone with that one. We will always be able to laugh about the warning bubbles... and Kaelyn's astonished reaction to what just happened. Needless to say, bathtime came to a quick end. And she was just fine with that!

Daddy got to go for a ride this weekend - but not before showing his girl his bike. He can't wait for her to have her own. Mommy's not so ready...

We got to go on our first hike and use the backpack for the first time. It was quite warm, so Kaelyn would have preferred a shorter hike. But overall, we all enjoyed it - particularly the views!

And I couldn't resist putting in the bikini shot! Ohhlala!

Kaelyn's Day at the Kiddie Pool

It's really warming up around here and yesterday we decided it was time to break out the kiddie pool! The kiddie pool is always fun for all. Mommy gets to tan, Kingston gets to frolic (he likes it when we spray the hose and he can run around and try to drink the water coming out of it!), and Kaelyn gets to take a bath outside. She does prefer warm water, though. First we tried the hose water but it didn't get a good reaction. Even daddy came out for some first time pool fun! Boy, we can't wait to go in the big people pool when it really warms up!!

Just cute!

After a little fussiness today (teething), a little backyard time seemed to do the trick. She just loves the camera. Her and the dog actually fight over who is going to get in the shot! Too cute.
