Kaelyn's Day at the Kiddie Pool

It's really warming up around here and yesterday we decided it was time to break out the kiddie pool! The kiddie pool is always fun for all. Mommy gets to tan, Kingston gets to frolic (he likes it when we spray the hose and he can run around and try to drink the water coming out of it!), and Kaelyn gets to take a bath outside. She does prefer warm water,though. First we tried the hose water but it didn't get a good reaction. Even daddy came out for some first time pool fun! Boy, we can't wait to go in the big people pool when it really warms up!!

After a little fussiness today (teething), a little backyard time seemed to do the trick. She just loves the camera. Her and the dog actually fight over who is going to get in the shot! Too cute.

This week's tricks...

Kaelyn seems to be teething a lot. She really needs to chew on something constantly. She loves this chicken leg and I thought this was really funny!


She also tends to think of herself as a grown up as you can see from how she prefers to drink out of a real cup. She's pretty good at it. This one she's just playing with, but when you put water in it, she does a good job of sipping the water. And she gets quite the thrill out of it!


And her latest trick...seems she's getting ready to crawl. Uh oh! Just the last two days she's been pulling her belly off the ground and getting on her knees. Funny thing, she actually crawls backwards because she pushes back with her hands. She hasn't figured out how to move forward.
Here comes trouble...

Furry Friends and Funny Faces!

Kaelyn and Kingston are really having a great time as we spend more and more time out in the backyard. Kingston is always trying to get right up next to her on the blanket, even though we try to keep him on the edges. And if we get up and walk away, we'll find him comfortably in the middle of the blanket, as if it's his own!




This is Kaelyn's new face of the week. She just started doing it last week and it's really funny!

MORE AUNTIES!!

Kaelyn finally got to meet her last two aunties! Auntie Joyce and Auntie Janet. If she ever doubted how much she is loved, she knows now for sure! Kaelyn was surrounded by mommy's family for 4 days and just couldn't get enough of all the attention. She soaked it all up and gave all her happy smiles to anyone who was spending time with her!




She even got to meet another cousin - Jeff!



And a second cousin, Camden, who was born a week before Kaelyn. They were really cute together - looking at each other and trying to touch their faces and ears!

First Flight!

We just got back from our first successful trip out of state! Kaelyn was quite the champ and thoroughly enjoyed her first plane ride. Luckily, we had the extra middle seat to ourselves (both ways) so we can't really complain. We can't imagine sharing the row with another person - something to think about for next time!

Gramma's owwie!

Gramma recently hurt her back so we went to visit and see this fancy new brace she gets to wear. Kaelyn did a good job of cheering things up - and helping gramma look through the slicks! We got to spend time with Stephanie and Carly again as well as Matt and Jennifer. Kaelyn did a great job in the car as well as sleeping at gramma's.
Sadly, Stormy, the big white fluffy dog which we unfortunately did not get a photo of Kaelyn with, passed away just a few days after our visit. It was his time to go but we are very sad that he is gone now.
