I'm 3 months old!

Well Kaelyn is three months now. Wow does it go fast. She rolled over two times on her 3 month birthday. Nothing since. But we know she can do it now. Our safety hazards have increased. Next thing we'll have to put the safety latches on the cabinets. Yuck!

We're still having a blast. She smiles a lot and is getting close to a giggle!

A VERY big weekend!

To start the weekend, Mommy's old roommate Kelly came to visit and had fun giving Kaelyn a bottle!

On Saturday mommy flew to Arizona for her friend Tracy's wedding in Scottsdale. She met up with another old college sorority sister Courtney. What a beautiful wedding - but a real whirlwind going to AZ and back in 12 hours!

On Sunday it was Daddy's bday. We won't mention the # behind the bday -but we had a fun time with our weekend visitors - Auntie Nancy and Kelly. It was nice to have them around for a few days. They enjoyed time with the baby and we all enjoyed some time out in the sun!

Nancy really loved all the lemons on our trees. They weren't yellow back in November for her last visit. This time she got to take a few home with her!

Our First Official First!

Kaelyn is cutting her first tooth! Yup. I can see it and feel it. It's the front bottom left! Crazy kid!

Happy Girl

Our favorite time of the day with Kaelyn is first thing in the morning. She is so happy and talkative! Here is a great series taken this morning that really shows her personality. We were having so much fun!

Rubber Duckie You're So FUN!

Kaelyn LOVES bathtime. She may be over 13 lbs but she still fits in the bathroom sink and this is her favorite place for bathtime. Although she doesn't splash around yet, you can tell her mind is thinking about it as her feet move around in the water! We will be so sad when she outgrows the sink!

I love to cuddle!

I told you about the little bear with the silky blanket that Kaelyn loves to hold when she goes to sleep - well I finally got a pic of her hugging her bear. This was when she woke up - so that's why she's so happy in the bottom pic. Thanks again for the bear Auntie Jen!!

Lots of new things

Well, we're pretty much trying to relax this week and clean up the house (still messy from back in October!!). Here are a few pics Marlene took while visiting - they show just how much Kaelyn is beginning to enjoy her world!

Here she is sitting up. She loves to grab your fingers and hold herself up - especiall when she's on her changing table! She can also stand while you hold her up by her armpits!

Here she is in her "big girl" stroller - the BOB. She loves it and we're excited she can finally go in it - cuz now we can do more fun things like hike and take it to the beach!

With her new long sleep schedule with two daytime naps, she has discovered her love of holding dolls! What a little girl, huh? Below she's holding the glow worm that her cousin Katie gave her for Christmas. It lights up and plays music - she really likes that! Her favorite to sleep with is a little teddy bear with a soft and silky blanket attached from her Aunti Jen. She grabs that during her nap time and it helps get her to sleep. I'll try to get a pic of that one sometime - but I never want to wake her up while she's sleeping with it!

First New Year's Day, First Day At The Beach

We spent New Year's day at dog beach and EVERYONE was thrilled! It was a beautiful day and all the dogs were having the best time. As you can see, we were rooting on the Trojans! Yay USC!

The sound of the waves put Kaelyn to sleep so soundly that we couldn't wake her up. Now we know what to do if we ever need to put her to sleep!

Marlene, Aaron and Samantha were visiting for the week and enjoyed Kaelyn's first day at the beach with us!

12 hours...

So as you can see, Kaelyn is getting a little big for her bassinet. On Sunday, we discovered a book called "12 hours sleep by 12 weeks old." It's really about putting your child on a schedule which will get them to sleep for 12 hours at night. Well, we figured out that Kaelyn was really trying to get us on that schedule - we just weren't listening. So we followed what the book says and on Sunday night, she slept for 10 hours. She took two naps on Monday and slept for 11 hours on Monday night. By Tuesday night, she slept the full 12 hours! It's a miracle!

So on Monday night, the last night of 2007, we moved Kaelyn to her big girl crib in her own bedroom. It is unbelievable that she is growing and maturing this fast! We were really sad to move her out - since she's essentially been in our bedroom for 11 months! But we are already used to it now and she seems to love her own space...and her new USC Trojan mobile (thanks to mommy's friend Stacy!).

Kaelyn's favorite place to hang out is her changing table. She loves to talk and smile for a long time on this table.

Mommy Time

Auntie Marlene pointed out that there are very few photos of mommy with Kaelyn. So we attempted to take a few today.

The below pix show just how badly Kingston wants to be in the photos. As most people know, it's not easy to get a dog, a baby, and an adult all looking at a camera at the same time. This series shows just how fun it is - I thought they were really cute! The last one is the best we could get!!
